So I watched President Bush trying to look all homey tonight while speaking with some talking head about Camus. Uh huh. I never figured Bush for an existentialist. I’d really like to sit down with our dear president and talk with him about Being In Itself vs. Being Of Itself. Perhaps he’s read, “The Rebel.” This would explain his opposition to communism. Perhaps now he’ll stop talking in such absolutes as, “Good vs. Evil.” Perhaps he’ll step down now and resign himself to the refelected life. But hopefully he’ll just stick around. I always wanted a Philosopher King. And a good laugh.
